Wavecamp 2025, yet again a success

Once again, we got a nice week of flying from the ice in Vågå.
This year we had strong international participation with nearly 50 pilots! They were coming from Norway, Sweden, Germany, Poland, England, Netherlands/Romania, Belgium, USA and Australia! We got of to a tough start with a mild winter and uncertain ice conditions. Leading up to the camp we were closely monitoring the situation and two days prior to camp start, we marked the runway. The day prior to camp conditions were uncertain again and our tow-planes were diverted to the airfield at Frya. We had three days of waiting before we finally got out on the ice on Tuesday. We finally assembled our gliders on the ice and got the first day of flying! 

Through the week we got nice weather and conditions improved day by day. And even with poor weather forecasts Vågå showed that the wave is always present somewhere. This year did not bring many high-altitude flights, still we all got nice flights on the waves. Some also managed both gold and diamond heights.
